Evolution in the box is tactic game with unique and easy to learn mechanism. You became a boss of group of hominids at the start of human evolution. You win if you are on the top of human evolution and reach the homo sapiens sapiens stage as first one. It is easy. You have to hunt mammoths which give you proteins important for your brain boost. How you can hun them?

Imagine! There is square 8 x 8 made from card tiles. Cards has got mamooth on the front side and one from four types of landscape on the backside. You will move your pawn on these tiles in special way. At the beginning of your turn you will take one small command card. This small command card allow you to step on one kind of landscape card. In your turn, you can turn any two tile cards on the landscape or one landscape card back on the mamooth. After that you decide: if you move with you pawn (group) or you stay and save your command card for better occasion. You can move your pawn only on the landscape card which refer to your command card. You can not jump over other landscape card, you have to pay command card for every visited landscape cards! Usually people save theirs command cards and when they have four or five, they step forward with their group in considered way.

What is most important? For every crossed mammoth card in your move, you will get one victory point. You will shift your small pawn on evolution counter board. If you reach some evolution stage, you can improve your group in way, which you choose. You gain some evolution advantages... For example you can be more effective in hunting mamooths, you can fight with other groups or you can adjust a traps. It is up to you. You just have to adapt your game strategy in dependence on your advantages.
